Bacon Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

1 box pasta shells

5 pieces of bacon

1lb of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded

2 cups of heavy whipping cream

1 TBSP salter butter

Salt and Pepper TT


Directions:

Step 1: In a large pot, add about 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Step 2: Once water is boiled, add the pasta shells and cook for 8 mins or desired softness of pasta.


Step 3: Once pasta is tender, remove from heat and using a strainer, drain the pasta from water. Add olive oil to pasta after draining to avoid pasta sticking together.

Step 3: Let’s make the cheese sauce! In a large skillet and over medium heat, cook the bacon until brown and crispy.

Step 4: Remove bacon from heat and onto a plate lined with paper towels to soak up excess bacon grease. Then crumble bacon up into bite-sized.


Step 5: In the same pan with the extra bacon grease, add the heavy whipping cream, butter and half of the bacon bits. Once the butter is melted, slowly add in the shredded cheese and slowly stir, keep adding until all cheese is melted.

Step 6: Add Salt and Pepper TT. Be careful not to over-salt!


Step 7: In your preferred serving dish, add the cooked pasta and then slowly add in the cheese sauce. Top with more shredded cheddar and other half of bacon bits and serve!
