Chimichurri Steak

Chimichurri is an Argentinean sauce with a parsley base. Similar to pesto, this sauce includes olive oil and garlic, among other ingredients to combine the flavors top on grilled meats. This sauce can also be used as a salad dressing to top off your favorite salad. Below are steps to make this recipe at home!


Chimichurri Sauce Ingredients:


1/2 bunch of Parsley

1/4 bunch of Cilantro

1 cup Olive Oil

4-5 garlic cloves

1/4 cup of Lemon Juice

1 TBSP Oregano

1 TBSP Red Pepper

1 TSP Salt

2 ribeye steaks or flank steak

1 TBSP Butter

1 TSP Paprika

1 TSP Black Pepper

1 TSP Salt


Directions:


Step 1: In a food processor, add the parsley, cilantro, garlic cloves, lemon juice, red pepper, oregano, salt and olive oil and blend until all the ingredients are combined. Set sauce aside.


Step 2: Prepare the steak by rubbing the paprika, black pepper and salt on both sides of steak.


Step 3: In a large pan or cast iron skillet over medium heat, melt 1 TBSP of butter and add the steaks. Let each steak cook for 3-5 minutes depending on how desired wellness of steak.


Step 4: On a plate, add the steak and pour Chimichurri sauce over steak. Serve with side salad and rice.
