Manjar Blanco o Leche Poleada

Hola familia! This recipe always brings me back home because my mom always makes manger blanco as soon as it starts getting chilly outside. If you enjoy arroz con leche, then you will definitely enjoy this recipe as well. Let me know what you think in the comments below!


Ingredients:


1 cup of white rice

3 cups of milk

1 cinnamon stick

1/2 cup of sugar

1 TSP powdered cinnamon


Directions:


Step 1: In a small bowl, add the white rice with 1 cup of water or until the rice is submerged in water. Let the rice soak for at least 1 hour.


Step 2: In a blender, add the soaked white rice with water and blend until everything is thoroughly blended.


Step 3: In a large bowl over medium heat, add the blended rice mixture and 3 cups of milk, cinnamon stick and sugar.


Step 4: Stir until everything sugar has dissolved and the milk starts to thicken for about 10 minutes.


Step 5: Serve in a bowl and top with powdered sugar.
